The foyer has tile on the floor, which is a variegated grey, with streaks of lavender and sienna in it. The tile is also in the kitchen, the pantry, and various other parts of the first floor. To your left is the entrance to the living room, which is defined by two columns and other 'architectural' details. The living room is large (14x26). It has a blue sofa, two blue easy chairs, and two window seats, each of which is surrounded by a built-in bookcase. There is more of the white beadboard wainscoting in here. The walls are the same pale grey. We have an 'audiophile' quality stereo in that room (Krell, Marantz and B&W).
